Nanda Diel
Meet the unique modern bronze sculptures and abstract paintings of Nanda Diel.
Nanda has a special fascination for sculpture and is drawn to the expressive, tactile medium that allows her to convey emotions, stories and ideas in three dimensions. Known for her meticulous attention to detail combined with a creative spirit overflowing with endless ideas, this unique blend of skill and passion finds expression in the creation of enchanting bronze sculptures that explore the boundary between realism and absurdism.
Sculptures
Each bronze sculpture is handmade in a limited edition of eight. Starting from clay or wax, Nanda shapes every figure by hand before it is cast in bronze using the traditional lost-wax technique. Finished with either a rich patina or a luminous polish, every piece carries the warmth of the artist's touch — tactile, expressive and designed to be lived with.
Paintings
Alongside sculpture, Nanda creates abstract paintings and mixed-media works that explore colour, texture and light. Working with acrylics, alcohol inks and epoxy on dibond and MDF, each painting is a one-of-a-kind original — layered, luminous and designed to bring atmosphere and calm into refined interiors. No prints are made; every work is truly unique.
The Creative Process
Every sculpture begins as an idea — a gesture, an emotion, a moment captured in the artist's mind. Nanda works intuitively, shaping raw material into forms that balance elegance with raw expression. The journey from concept to finished bronze can take months, with each stage demanding both technical precision and artistic courage.
Her paintings follow a similar philosophy — layers built up over time, each one adding depth, movement and meaning. The interplay of materials creates surfaces that shift with the light, inviting the viewer to discover something new with every glance.
